Who operates JusticeSA and is responsible for this information?

JusticeSA is currently a trading name used by the owner of JusticeSA and is operated as a sole proprietorship. It is not a separate company or NPC.

For information collected through this site, the sole proprietor determines why and how the information is processed and is the responsible operator for JusticeSA. Privacy questions can be sent to you@example.com.

Show Us the Evidence petition

When you sign the campaign petition, JusticeSA stores:

• your name and email address;
• your town or city and province, where voluntarily supplied;
• whether you agreed to receive campaign updates;
• the language of the page used; and
• the date and time of submission.

JusticeSA does not ask for or store your race through the petition and does not store your IP address in the petition record.

Why the information is used

Your email address is used to prevent duplicate petition entries. JusticeSA may contact you about important campaign developments only when you have selected the optional update consent box.

Petition contact details are not intended for sale to advertisers. Only aggregated signature totals should be published unless a supporter gives separate, explicit permission.

JusticeSA email list

You can join the JusticeSA email list without creating an account. JusticeSA stores the email address, optional name, preferred language, subscription status, signup source, consent/confirmation dates and administrative notes needed to manage the list.

Public email-list signups use double confirmation. Petition supporters who ask to be kept informed are also sent a confirmation request. Marketing email is sent only to addresses whose subscription is confirmed. Every marketing message includes a direct unsubscribe link.

If you unsubscribe, JusticeSA keeps a limited unsubscribe/suppression record so the address is not accidentally marketed to again. Administrators can manage status, language, source and notes, but should not mark someone subscribed without evidence of that person's explicit consent.

JusticeSA member accounts

When you create an account, JusticeSA stores your email address, optional first and last name, preferred language, communication preference, account status, join date and last-login date. Passwords are never stored as readable text; ASP.NET Core Identity stores a secure password hash.

If you sign in with Google, JusticeSA stores the external Google login identifier needed to recognise your account. JusticeSA does not receive or store your Google password.

If a confirmed member opts into email updates, that preference is synchronised with the same JusticeSA marketing email list. A member who opts out is removed from marketing sends.

Financial supporters and contribution records

When you use the JusticeSA support page, JusticeSA may store your email address, optional name, preferred language, contribution type, selected funding goal, amount, JusticeSA reference, payment status, payment-provider name/reference, receipt number and dates needed for administration and record keeping.

If you expressly opt into public founding-supporter recognition, JusticeSA may display only the public name you chose. Your email address and payment reference are not published.

JusticeSA does not ask for or store card numbers, banking passwords, PINs or OTPs in its support database. When an external payment provider is configured, payment credentials are handled on that provider's checkout and are subject to that provider's privacy and security terms.

Website analytics

JusticeSA supports optional Google Analytics configuration so the site owner can measure which public pages and campaigns are being used. Analytics is disabled when no measurement ID is configured. If enabled, JusticeSA configures IP anonymisation and should use the resulting data for aggregate site improvement rather than to identify petition signers or members.

Children

The campaign form is restricted to people aged 18 or older. JusticeSA does not knowingly collect petition information from children through this form.

Storage and security

Petition data is stored outside the site's public static-files directory. Reasonable technical safeguards are used, including anti-forgery validation, submission-rate limiting and a spam honeypot.

No internet system is completely risk-free. Access to petition data should be limited to authorised JusticeSA administrators.

If JusticeSA changes legal structure

JusticeSA may later move from a sole proprietorship to a separate legal entity if the initiative grows. If that happens, this policy will be updated to identify the new operator and explain any lawful transfer or continued processing of member, petition and mailing-list information before materially different uses are introduced.
